Since graduating, she has gained experience both in Ireland and New Zealand, where she spent over six years carrying out assessments of earthquake-damaged residential buildings throughout Christchurch and designing and supervising repair works.

Following her application for chartership to Engineers Ireland, she was awarded the Chartered Engineer of the Year Award 2018, having been shortlisted as one of six engineers from approximately four hundred applicants.
