St. Mary’s Cathedral and Chapterhouse Kilkenny

St. Mary’s Catholic Cathedral, Kilkenny is a Gothic Revival building built in 1857.

David Kelly Partnership designed alterations and repairs of the structure of the Chapterhouse to facilitate the creation of visitor facilities including tea rooms, visitor shop, disabled persons access facilities and conservation of the chapter room.

We also provided engineering services for the conversion of the cathedral basement to a chapel of perpetual adoration; the first phase of restoration works to the cathedral, comprising the re-roofing and restoration of the sanctuary.
